I started tattooing in the early 80's.
It was not my main source of income at the time
and I struggled throughout the years to enlighten
myself about the evasive, secretive world of tattooing.
Finally in '94 I got my big break. I received
an apprenticeship. Once I obtained that 'secret'
knowledge from my boss, and co-workers, I traded
in my old addictions for a new one, Tattooing.
As of fall 2007 I've received over 100 awards. I have been a member of the Alliance
of Professional Tattooists and the National Tattoo
Association since the start of my 'professional'
career. I am always striving to further my education
in all aspects of tattooing, from the technical
to the prevention of disease transmission.
I have many influences and mentors in the business,
including the incredibly talented group of artists
here at Slave to the Needle. I am learning from
each and every one of them daily and it is truly
great to be immersed in such a creative environment.
I am very happy about what I do. Thanks to all
who've inspired me and to you the customer, for
the trust, and for keeping it interesting for
me. As I like to say "This sure beats working."
Aaron’s hourly rate is 175.00 with a $500 minimum. Although he alternates between both locations, most appointments are done at the Wallingford shop. In an effort to keep wait times to a minimum, Aaron may suggest another artist best suited for your tattoo. Its Aaron’s highly talented and motivated group of artists that has earned ‘Slave to the Needle’ the great reputation that it has, and Aaron completely stands behind his referrals to them. As a shop owner, and a frequent traveler, Aaron’s schedule is very busy. Therefore, please note that even If you are on his waiting list, or have a consultation scheduled, there is no guarantee that he will personally be able to take on your project. Please contact our Wallingford shop at 206-545-3685 if you’re interested in being tattooed by Aaron.
If you’re inquiring via email about getting tattooed by Aaron at a tattoo convention, describe the tattoo you want, where you want it, and approximately how much time you’d like to book, then please be patient. Sometimes he is unable to coordinate his convention schedule until a few weeks prior to the show, at which time he will contact you. Thanks for your interest, patience and understanding.
